The sand-water separator is a supporting equipment for the sand removal system of the grit chamber. It consists of a feed sedimentation hopper, a spiral shaft, a spiral groove, a support frame and a driving device. The sand-water mixture enters the feed sedimentation hopper and settles through the inclined plate. The water is discharged from the overflow tank. The spiral shaft lifts the settled sand from the water out of the water and discharges it.
This equipment is mainly used to separate sand and water from the sand-water mixture discharged from the grit chamber in urban sewage treatment or industrial wastewater treatment.
